Sudden, severe flank pain (side/back below the ribs) that comes in waves, sometimes radiating to the groin. Blood in urine. Nausea and vomiting. Fever with kidney stone pain is an emergency — seek care immediately.

How are kidney stones treated in Korea?

Small stones: high fluid intake and pain relief while they pass naturally. Medium/large stones: ESWL (shock wave), ureteroscopy, or PCNL (keyhole procedure) are all available at major hospitals.
